There seems to be a known bug with powerline-themes xiaohanyu/oh-my-emacs#73, that I think I'm hitting on Windows. Since I'm not using powerline anyway, there is not point in trying to figure out more for now.

I got this error on Ubuntu and on OSX.
The info bar does have the arrows but they have the wrong background.
