All natural pine, faux fur and a bit of soho vibes for the classy minimalist
- (Optional) Get your favorite wallpaper
- Copy all files and directories to your rEFInd main directory, usually
/boot/EFI/refind
,/boot/efi/EFI/refind
or/efi/EFI/refind
. - Insert this statement at the bottom of your main rEFInd configuration file:
include rose-pine/theme.conf
- (Optional) Modify some settings there if you want. You probably do: you may want a different background or something.
Warning
You cannot insert another include statement in the file: rEFInd does not support third-level configuration files.
If you want your configuration to survive repository updates, then you may duplicate the base file, edit this one and include it instead. Although you may probably don't need to, since rEFInd seldom changes.
Submenu text backgrounds take the top-leftmost pixel's color.
In order to not blind users, solid color (no text color) is used by default.
There are two alternative background pictures to choose from:
- bordered background pictures (e.g.
solid-main-plain.png
): generously sized borders surround the screen; - single pixel background pictures (e.g.
solid-main-single.png
): a single pixel is visible in the top-left corner.
Unfortunately, both of these options only support well resolutions with 16:9 aspect ratios. They also use 8K background pictures, although rEFInds handles rescaling well and the size remains small thanks to good compression.
