Gmail Filters

Description

The DLSU Mail Filters repository is designed to make your Gmail experience smoother and more organized, especially when dealing with a flood of emails from different offices within De La Salle University. This repository contains a collection of XML files that can be easily imported into your Gmail account to set up filters for sorting and managing your incoming emails.

How to Use

  1. Clone the Repository: Start by cloning this repository to your local machine using the following command:
git clone https://github.com/your-username/DLSU-Mail-Filters.git

or download this repository directly.


  1. Choose a Filter (recommended): Download the _CONSOLIDATED (all mail).xml file

    or

    browse through the officers directory to find XML files corresponding to individual DLSU offices. These XML files contain the filter configurations.

  1. Import Filters to Gmail:
  • Open Gmail in your web browser.
  • Go to Settings (the gear icon in the upper-right corner).
  • Navigate to the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.
  • Scroll down and click on Import filters.
  • Select the desired XML file from the cloned repository's filters directory.
  • Click on the Open File button to import the filter.
  • If you downloaded the consolidated file, enable/disable specific offices corresponding to your preferance.

Please note that this repository is currently a work in progress. New offices and filters will be added regularly to provide a comprehensive set of filters that cover various aspects of university communication.
