queue_conditions prevent a PR from entering the merge queue. What we really want is merge_conditions, which allows PRs to embark on the merge train while integration tests are still running, and only actually merge when the tests are successful.

Also, we can use queue_conditions to consolidate and clean up the condition logic in our pull_request_rules.

I am confused because I distinctly recall our PRs getting onto the merge queue after required tests pass, but before the integration tests complete.

That was before I updated the .mergify.yml for the new mergify.io schema (including the commit template). I accidentally changed a queue_rules[0].conditions into queue_rules[0].queue_conditions, which was wrong.

Arf I totally missed the drive by change from the deprecated conditions in #9499 which had those semantics.

Please update in the mergify experiments repo as well. Also I believe it's easier for mergify change PRs to use a bypass:automerge label.

I did a test in Agoric/mergify-experiements#13 to validate another part of this change: consolidating some of the pull_request_rules[*].conditions under the queue_rules[*].queue_conditions.

I did a test in Agoric/mergify-experiements#13 to validate another part of this change: consolidating some of the pull_request_rules[*].conditions under the queue_rules[*].queue_conditions.

Yeah I've been meaning to check the replacements for our deprecated config options. Thanks
