Motivation
The purpose of this release is to revert a PR that was not sufficiently tested and could lead to undesired behavior related to Program deployments.
The PR AleoNet/snarkVM#2553 introduces an optimization that bounds the amount of deployments that a node holds in memory. However, it was not sufficiently battle-tested and led to undesired behavior on internal networks. AleoNet/snarkVM#2578 reverts the original PR to give time for the team to re-evaluate the change and address possible edge-cases.
Test Plan
Mixed ISOnet with:
mainnet stable validator + clients
v1.1.4 validator + clients (canary week 24.46)
and this release, v1.2.2 validator + clients (canary week 24.47)
