Addressing bugs and adding quality-of-life improvements compared to the v5.0.1 release of Melbourne. Special thanks to @Tegu for their contributions towards this release.

Installation Instructions | Using the Program | Adding Custom Flags

Added Features

  • The macOS application is now signed and notarized in order to fulfill Apple's requirements for distributing applications for macOS Catalina.
  • Tie-breaking is now supported for an arbitrary points system (ex: 1-8, 10, 12, 14, 16, …) rather than the previous Eurovision-style (1-8, 10, 12) points system. Entries are sorted by the number of points received, with the highest points taking precedence.
  • Added toggle on whether to draw borders around flags in the scoreboards. Disabling flag borders may be useful when using custom non-square/rectangular flags.
  • Added button to reload the input Excel spreadsheet. Previously, the only way to reload the file was through a command shortcut (Cmd/Ctrl + R).
  • Added flags for Kosovo and several new ISC/OSC countries. Also, renamed flags for Serbia & Montenegro rsme.pngserbiamontenegro.png for better clarity.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed bug where not having a value in the flag column for an entry caused it to be ignored when loading entries.
  • When choosing input files or output folders, the program remembers the previously selected folder when displaying the file dialog.
  • Due to limitations when building and notarizing applications on macOS, existing ISC flags with special characters in the file names were removed. For those countries, use the flags without the special characters (ex: ISC/Pönö.pngISC/Pono.png and ISC/Tonallán.pngISC/Tonallan.png).

Addressing initial feedback and bugs discovered in the v5.0.0 release of Melbourne.

Installation Instructions | Using the Program | Adding Custom Flags

Added Features

  • The main color in scoreboards is now controllable by users and can be set just like the accent color.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixes an issue where the number of voters that voted for an entry was not set correctly, leading to incorrect tie-breaking.
  • Fixes an issue where the text would be drawn at different sizes on Windows depending on the operating system's current DPI scaling value. Now, all text should be properly rendered identically on both Windows and macOS regardless of the operating system's DPI scaling value.
  • The size of the program window is now no longer hard-coded, and automatically adjusts to fit its contents.

Initial release for the Melbourne v5.0.x series.

Installation Instructions | Using the Program | Adding Custom Flags

Note: While the program has been tested on both macOS and Windows 10, there is still the possibility (and decent likelihood) that there are issues waiting to be discovered in the coming days and weeks.

In the event that an issue is discovered, please include information about the operating system as well as the input file (if applicable).
