We currently don't do much testing since CIBot is no longer running. Hence we wouldn't find out if a new version of Compat broke all packages on 0.6.

I'm actually running Pkg.test() on 0.6 right now, with some 150 packages installed, so we might want to wait with merging this until that has completed I can confirm that breakage of "all packages on 0.6" is rather unlikely.

Oops, looks like this breaks StatsBase.jl, and hence actually does break a good fraction of packages. Will look into it...

Ok, I've verified that the updated tag does not lead to any (new) breakage in the packages I happen to have installed on 0.6.
