False scoop entries #415
Comments
@davidxuang Can you give this a look? |
It looks exactly identical to results of previous release version. |
If by "latest Bulk-Crap-Uninstaller version", you mean latest release version (version 5.4 which was released on Aug 10), this is a duplicate of #401 which has been resolved by #402. |
Oh right, it wasn't released yet. I'll look into making a release tomorrow. Sorry for the ping davidxuang! |
Hello, is there an alternative solution until the release? maybe a solution to at least hide the false Scoop entries permanently or a way to roll back the version for Scoop. |
I guess you could create a batch script to delete C:\Users\user\scoop\shims\scoop.ps1 |
Yes, you may disable Scoop integration on the 4th tab of settings panel. |
This works for me. Thank you! |
Any update regarding the new version release? |
Sorry for the massive delay, I'm working on a release now, it should be out within a day. |
@myfairsyer Try a clean BCU install. If that doesn't help, try updating scoop. |
I'll give it a try. Any chance BCU's next version will be able to recover from this corrupted state by itself? That way other users will not have to search for a solution by themselves. |
Assuming there is a corrupted state in the first place. Did any of the suggestions fix the issue? |
Scoop is up-to-date and reinstalling BCU did not help. |
@myfairsyer Can you run |
…ing corrupted json data Prevents #415
I'm using Windows 10 21h2, latest Scoop and Bulk-Crap-Uninstaller versions (05/10/22). Those entries appear in the uninstall list, deleting C:\Users\PICHAU\scoop\shims\scoop.ps1 temporily fixes the problem, but when I use scoop they reappear.
