Releases: Thinkersbluff/DGUS-Reloaded_for_CR6-Klipper_Component
Release 1.3.1
This baseline will support beta-testing version 0.4.1 - Beta of the DGUS-Reloaded DWIN_SET available at https://github.com/Thinkersbluff/DGUS-Reloaded_for_CR6-DWIN-SET_Component.
NOTE: THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS RELEASE AND 1.3.0 IS THAT I SHORTENED SOME PATHNAMES TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD AND UNPACK THE SOURCE.ZIP FILE.
CAUTION: the configuration files are from the test machine, which is a Kickstarter version of the CR6-SE, but which is not in stock configuration. I recommend that you use WinMerge to compare your files with these ones, and decide which edits to incorporate when installing or updating DGUS-Reloaded into your MainSail/Klipper system, rather than simply overwriting your files with mine.
Annotated pre-configured files are provided for installing this firmware on each of the 4 types of CR6 motherboard:
BTT SKR CR6
Creality 4.5.2
Creality 4.5.3
Creality ERA 1.1.0.3
Please NOTE that whichever system you have, it is likely to differ from that of my test printer.
I have done my best to annotate the printer.cfg files to guide you to which values require tuning or changing for these files to work properly with your system.
I recommend that you create a clean installation - as described in the draft guide - if this is your first Klipper installation.
CAUTION: During the development of this app, I made the "mistake" of upgrading from Python 3.9.2 to 3.11.1. My system did not then work correctly, until I made a clean installation, which includes Python 3.9.2.
NOTE: It is possible to install the DGUS-Reloaded Klipper Component on top of the very latest Klipper, just by copying the folder t5uid1 - and all of its contents - into the klipper/klippy/extras folder on your pi host. (NOTE: You also need to flash the Klipper.bin file to the motherboard, and the DWIN_SET to your display, but you could go ahead and do a clean install of the pre-built Mainsail OS in the Raspberry Pi Imager, then sFTP the attached t5uid1 folder after the fact. I tried to describe how I did that, in the draft installation guide in the docs folder.
I describe a five-step process for installing DGUS-Reloaded over a Klipper3D/Klipper installation, in the site README file.
If you find a better way, please share it with me in the Discussions section!
