David Lindo
Assistant Professor, Department of Engineering & Environmental Science, CUNY CSI
Dr. David Lindo-Atichati is an oceanographer trying to understand why ocean currents look the way they do; how they might be changing; and the role they play in the biogeochemistry of the ocean, in the past, and in our future. He approaches these questions from a multidimensional perspective that includes theory, observation, and modeling. By weaving these three approaches together, Dr. Lindo's research program is specifically designed to understand the interactions between ocean dynamics, marine biogeochemistry, and marine pollution. He rigorously tests predictions of models with observations collected in ocean expeditions and in the lab to tackle the most fundamental yet unresolved questions of our time.
Dr. Lindo currently holds positions of tenure-track assistant professor at The City University of New York, research associate at the American Museum of Natural History, and Guest Investigator at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
