Not really sure about the dist file here, probably shouldn't be included (also doesn't match description above).

What's wrong with running the dist file first? Otherwise, in order to test pdo-sqlite one will need to create an extra file however the extension doesn't require configuration. The description doesn't say the script will run only those files.

Besides it wasn't there previously, dist file is meant to be a template for script like this.

Slightly unrelated, but this should use vendor/bin/phpunit, otherwise it looks up in $PATH.

Which is fine. My $PATH contains vendor/bin. Or for other users, it could be their phpunit alias.

I doubt it does for most of other people (mine does not include it). Also it doesn't really make sense to run external PHPUnit since we have it in dependencies.

I'd leave the name as is to make sure nobody is required to update their scripts. |

Release v2.8.0 [](https://travis-ci.org/doctrine/dbal) This is a minor release of Doctrine DBAL that aggregates over 30 fixes and improvements developed over the last 3 months. This release includes all changes of the 2.7.x series, as well as feature additions and improvements that couldn’t land in patch releases. **Backwards Compatibility Breaks** This doesn't contain any intentional Backwards Compatibility (BC) breaks. **Dependency Changes** * The dependency on [doctrine/common](https://github.com/doctrine/common) is removed. DBAL now depends on [doctrine/cache](https://github.com/doctrine/cache) and [doctrine/event-manager](https://github.com/doctrine/event-manager) instead. Please see details in the [UPGRADE.md](UPGRADE.md) documentation. **Deprecations** * The usage of binary fields whose length exceeds the maximum field size on a given platform is deprecated. Please use binary fields of a size which fits all target platforms, or use blob explicitly instead. * The usage of DB-generated UUIDs is deprecated. Their format is inconsistent across supported platforms and therefore the feature is not portable. Currently,
run-all.shcontains hard-coded configuration file names some of which are obsolete (pdo-ibm) and some are missing (pdo-pgsql).
