I joined Polkadot/Substrate development in early 2018. My contributions include: I seeded what is now known as ink! contracts, worked on parachains consensus runtime and client, helped bootstrap initial wasm infrastructure. I've had an influence on a few technical decisions across Polkadot, Cumulus, and Substrate.

Here are some random notable contributions:

• Extract smart-contract runtime into the separate crate paritytech/substrate#179 ← it's not the earliest, but close and gives feels-good vibes. Reminds that back then, contracts lived in the staking module.

• pvf-precheck: Integrate PVF pre-checking into paras module paritytech/polkadot#4457
