Should we add the following?

  • Details on how to use the 5e Framework initiative tool, and what happens if someone manually changes their initiative (i.e. that you need to hit refresh to include them or change their number, what if an PC and NPC have the same initiative, what if a PC is using the MapTool initiative tool but the GM is using the 5e Framework one, etc)

The following articles need more info.

Needs:

  • Updated image
  • Slightly more information on the entries to confirm the purpose of each window/panel
  • Obvious links to MapTool's wiki or instructions to help with things that can be achieved through the base software platform

Needs:

  • Images
  • Section on how to create a PC in 2.5
  • When creating a PC, how do tokens interact with the library token?
  • When creating a PC, does the library token have to be on a specific map?
  • Can you have multiple of the same PC token on different maps, or does that cause problems?
  • Section on how to use/edit character sheet tool, Statblock, description, and spellcasting buttons
  • Updated information that reflects current version of framework
  • How to use buttons for light, spell area effect, initiative, etc.

Need images, also, suggestions for future content in this section:

  • Using NPC statblocks - how do you roll from it? What if the NPC has another type of weapon that isn't in the default statblock?
  • Modifying NPC statblocks (and what that does to the Bestiary entry)
  • Rolling for/editing HP
  • Adding damage/healing to an NPC
  • Creating a new bestiary entry via statblock creation if the user selected "Add New"
  • Toggling NPC visibility to PCs in 2.5 vs unmodified MapTool (may be duplicated in another section)

Could use some images and Creating New Content is incomplete

  • How do you use the PC creation wizard?
  • How do you add classes/feats/etc to the creation wizard?
  • Needs more information explaining what it is. The Compendium is essentially the all 5th edition SRD information (spells, monsters, items, classes, etc) compiled into very elegant, convenient and accessible code. I think we need to "Sell" that to potential tabletop gamers little better. -Could use some images
  • What can someone use the bestiary for?
  • How can a GM add NPC stats to an existing bestiary without using a JSON file?
  • Does the JSON file need to have anything in particular to be able to be imported to add to the bestiary?

Just basic explanation and a link.

  • What is a notebook?
  • What can notebooks be used for?
  • Why would someone want to use a notebook?
  • How can someone edit an existing notebook?
  • Should a GM or player modify an existing notebook that they did not create?

Needs:

  • Updated and corrected explanation
  • How to use dice roller to roll outside of a character sheet

Need to be updated

Needs:

  • More details and images.
  • What is the core purpose of the Manage Party tool?
  • What can the GM do in the Manage Party tool?

Just a basic explanation. Here are some questions (in no particular order):

  • Does version 2.5 support any type of particular macro creation outside of the usual MapTools functionality?
  • What is a macro?
  • When should someone change a macro?
  • What happens if you change a Framework macro and it breaks?

Some of this content is outdated and/or missing. Could use some images, or not, dunno.

The Suggested Layout requires a little explanation and screenshots,Menus could use some text, or not, who knows, and Shortcuts are incomplete, they should include MapTool shortcuts, not only Framework ones.
