Proto Any Tx migration

Tracking issue for implementing ADR 020 updates from #6111 and discussed at length in #6078:

Critical Path

• Add Tx, SignDoc, etc. proto types from 6111 #6214: create new master proto Tx, SignDoc, etc. types
• Add pub key proto definitions #6217: decide on and implement new PublicKey encoding
• implement SIGN_MODE_DIRECT
  • Add support for protobuf TxGenerator and SIGN_MODE_DIRECT #6385 add SignDocRaw and TxRaw to a separate package
  • start sequence and account numbers from one -- architecture concerns have been raised, so may need to be re-evaluated won't fix Propose ADR 027: Deterministic Protobuf Serialization #6979
• implement SIGN_MODE_LEGACY_AMINO_JSON
  • create an ante handler that allows StdTx to be used for signing from a proto Tx
  • create a REST endpoint that converts StdTx JSON to a proto Tx with SIGN_MODE_LEGACY_AMINO_JSON set
  • don't break the ability to use the existing amino binary tx format (Full amino encoding support #6190)
• x/auth/ante: Migrate tests to use the new client.TxConfig #6661: migrate all x/auth/ante tests to use the new client.TxGenerator (to finish Remove GetSignatures from SigVerifiableTx #6550)
• Update simapp helpers to use Tx generator #6655: @sahith-narahari simapp/helpers.GenTx should use TxGenerator as a parameter ( see Implement SIGN_MODE_DIRECT #6216 )
• migrate x/auth commands to use TxGenerator and SignatureV2 (some of these are partially done in Implement SIGN_MODE_DIRECT #6216 - see the x/auth/client package):
  • Update auth cli commands #6717 validate-signatures
  • Update auth cli commands #6717 sign, multisign and sign-batch@sahith-narahari
  • refactor auths broadcast cmd in alignment with #6216 #6713 @clevinson broadcast
  • Migrate x/auth cmd's to TxGenerator marshaling #6391 encode/decode
• Update auth cli commands #6717 Migrate x/genutil to use TxConfig #6734 migrate x/genutil to use TxGenerator
• Add protobuf Tx unit tests #6614 enable protobuf tx in tests
• REST tx endpoint backwards compatibility #6801 migrate x/auth encode, decode and broadcast REST endpoints - these MUST take amino json StdTx and convert to proto behind the scenes - for backwards compatibility
  • encode - takes an amino JSON StdTx and returns proto Tx binary
  • decode - take proto Tx binary and return amino JSON StdTx
  • broadcast - take amino JSON StdTx, broadcast proto binary Tx
  • need integration tests for these - this is for backwards compatibility for wallets and exchanges
• REST tx endpoint backwards compatibility #6801 make sure existing REST tx endpoints still work with amino JSON and StdTx but use protobuf Tx under the hood for simulation
• codec: implement protobuf unknown fields checker #6557 implement unknown field filtering (Protobuf unknown field rejection #6192, Reject unknown fields in TxDecoder and sign mode handlers #6883)
• Add RejectExtensionOptionsDecorator #6988 reject unprocessed extension_options and signing modes

Cleanup and Future Improvements

• Remove old tx code from rest #6939 Remove TxBuilder #6941 @sahith-narahari remove x/auth/types.TxBuilder (in favor of client/tx.Factory)
• address multisig handling and legacy amino addresses (Extensible address format #5694)
• revisit Transaction Client (CLI & REST) Protobuf Migration #5864 and make any necessary updates to CLI/REST method handling
• remove StdTx, etc. types from codec/
• Tx Height Timeout #6089 rename SigFeeMemoTx from fix int overflow error for rand.Intn #5385
• move amino StdTx, etc. to a x/auth/tx/legacy package #7255 move amino StdTx, etc. to a x/auth/tx/legacy package
• Tx Height Timeout #6089 add timeout height ante handler
• Specify SIGN_MODE_TEXTUAL #6513 start the appropriate process to specify SIGN_MODE_TEXTUAL
