Redesign

In order to incrementally improve the user experience through the feedback we've been hearing. This redesign includes some notable changes such as:

• Update to the mega menu to reduce accidental opening of the menu
• Re-positioning of the login buttons due to feedback that users doesn't know where to go to login
• Making frequently used links more salient in an effort to be more usable
• Reducing white space to allow more information to be accessible
• Adding a table of contents for Official Documentation to make it easier to track reading progress

The general color theme has also been updated to match that of the Liferay.com new branding update. For more details and see the other changes, refer to the redesign epic.

With this redesign, we are also releasing a new experimental product called Developer Services. A new landing page has been created for the product. LHC-903

7.2 Product Release and DXP Release Notes Release

This release updated the homepage, search filters, create ticket page, and mega menu to include relevant references to the new DXP Release Notes Tool and the DXP 7.2 product.

This release includes some small improvements to Help Center such as:

• Update typography for better readability [LHC-397]
• Some spacing fixes such as the breadcrumb [LHC-458], the CTA sections [LHC-202], and on category pages [LHC-191]
• Perceived loading speed on the side nav for official documentations [LHC-632]
• Fixing the bug for the organization field on Request page not showing up if a user is a watcher on an organization. [LHC-556]
• A few content changes
• Some efforts to reduce the bundle size for sandbox.

April 12, 2019

This release fully completes the new "Fast Track" that's been started since the last release. The fast track template was iterated upon in this release (LHC-491) to engage with the European audience. A new label was also added on search results to highlight the fast track articles (LHC-482).

Aside from that, we moved away from Conditional Field App and moved on to using Conditional Ticket Fields for easier configuration and maintenance (LHC-501).

This release also addressed some bugs LHC-461, and LHC-184. As well as fixed some security vulnerabilities with packages 2a94377 and 11c0b74.

March 29, 2019

This release adds back the Satisfaction Rating on Ticket Details (LHC-235) because we've been receiving unexpected bad reviews that the customer did not make. The likely reason is explained here. We are hoping by reintroducing the Satisfaction Ratings on ticket details, we will see the occurrence of this problem less.

We also introduced a new article template (LHC-347) for the Fast Track initiative that will move us forward towards the self service goal.

This release includes a few copy changes, a color hex change to liven up the interface (LHC-54) bug fix for pagination (LHC-278), and adding and customizing the different Search options for the Product and Component dropdowns on the create ticket form (LHC-160).

This minor release includes a few copy updates, the addition of more tests (LHC-73), updated look and feel of code blocks (LHC-186, and a renaming for the Salesforce connector component (LHC-269).

Feb 15, 2019

This release fixes a few bugs for the new Search Filter.

• Pagination doesn't update correctly when filtered results is less than the original query results. LRIS-34673
• Article breadcrumbs are not updating correctly once a user paginates the search results. LHC-222

This update also includes a few minor content updates.

Liferay Help Center Filtered Search and Article Suggestion Release

This release:

• Added a Product search filter to the search results page to increase the level of granularity a user has over the search results. This was added to refine the search results since a portion of the official documentations for different products tend to share the same article title. LRIS-34331, LRIS-34333, LRIS-34332, LRIS-34600 and LRIS-34641
• Customized the article suggestion feature on the new request form to filter the suggestion results by the Product that the user had selected. This was to get around the issue that a lot of the official documentations shared the same name but were intended for different products. By filtering the article suggestions to article relevant to the product the customer chose, the hope was to better help them find what they need. LRIS-33176
• Refactored the way product landing pages were done to allow content writer to add banners and modify text or links. LRIS-34358
