This is not w3c-tests, it's web-platform-tests, precisely to allow such tests. |

Can you guys hug or something? How about we ask Khronos to jump into the fun and import their whole TS here? Might that make everyone happy? |

@darobin yeah, that's the conversation I think we should have. Similarly for ES5 (the JS folder). I've reached out to ECMA to resolve the contribution from non ECMA-member issue, and that's under way. I'd like to understand why these tests aren't being submitted to Khronos (what's the blocker)? |

w3c-test:mirror Yeah, this is a test comment. But it also has useful content: The Khronos repo seems to be: https://github.com/KhronosGroup/WebGL They seem to be MIT licensed, so really one repo vs two is just an organizational issue. I certainly wouldn't mind having a single repo here, but I think it makes sense to have a conversation about it. A more substantial point is that they use a different test harness. From the point of view of getting everyone running the tests having a single harness would be better. I think Opera might have a testharness.js wrapped version of the Khronos tests, but I seem to remember it was non-trivial to achieve without rewriting all the tests. |

Does anyone have a good contact with K in order to discuss this with them? If they wanted to use this repo, it would make sense to collaborate. |

This PR has been open for more than a year now. I suggest we close it without prejudice and re-open when needed after further discussion somewhere else (rather than continuing to leave this hanging here). |
