fix: correctly constrain get header at #7893

This PR correctly constrains get header at by taking account the desired block number and adds a test for the specific use case that would pass previously.

Benchmark results

Metrics with a significant change:

  • avm_simulation_time_ms (FeeJuice:mint_public): 38.8 (-32%)
  • avm_simulation_time_ms (Token:mint_public): 72.0 (+65%)
  • avm_simulation_time_ms (Token:assert_minter_and_mint): 31.2 (-54%)
Detailed results

All benchmarks are run on txs on the Benchmarking contract on the repository. Each tx consists of a batch call to create_note and increment_balance, which guarantees that each tx has a private call, a nested private call, a public call, and a nested public call, as well as an emitted private note, an unencrypted log, and public storage read and write.

This benchmark source data is available in JSON format on S3 here.

Why not include this in the constraning step? It's odd to have it outside

In my head they're two different logical purposes, these initial two steps are making sure that we are fetching from a "possible block number", and the other is making sure the header hint from this "possible block number" is correct. Does this seem fair to you ?

Eh if the goal is to prevent an oracle failure might as well do assert(block_number < current_block_number) (which simply prevents future blocks due to the previous if), and leave the archive fetching internals up the constraining - it's a bit out of place as it has to do with how the constraning is done. But it's not ultimately very important, if anything this seems a symptom of proofs being tied to headers.
