- Issue Roundup - Link sorted by date
- Convene a 30-minute ISLE tech call after every other regular Islandora Tech Call (bi-weekly) to coordinate activity and ensure progress. Recommending that Danny, Willow and Gavin all be on the call? Gavin may not be able to answer all questions as the Release manager. Also we should rope in Nigel, Don and Tom?
- PR Roundup- Link sorted by date
- Can we talk about what Islandora Defaults would morph into in an ideal world? (Added by Kirsta) https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/discussions/2023

https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/2052 Feedback from MIG on Resource Type - System Model relationships.
- It is not fully understood why the resource terms are necessary - they don't seem to add any information to the system model term, or they can be anything and it doesn't matter. When the resource term is adding information, it is adding the fact that a resource is a collection - this should instead be derived by Islandora.
- Also, the resource type terms are incorrect - resource type means something specific in metadata, and it's being convoluted by the current status of these relationships.
- How to deal with different categories of resource structures should not be an additional step that people have to do every time.
- Taking out resource type entirely will break views. Views are based on context that require [X] resource type.
- With sandbox installation, if we can't change these things/make them more flexible, the install isn't community-based.
- Resource type is required in install profile, but not in defaults.
- Remove the dependency on a specific resource type in the install profile, for the install profile to behave in a more intuitive way?
- If install profile is giving people the wrong idea of how islandora works, tinkering with the display logic on the islandora sandbox so it is more consistent with the rest of how Islandora works may be worthwile.
- Rosie proposes making a PR attempting to remove this dependency from all the places it is required.
- https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/2050 Alex proposes doing this as a stored config.
-
https://github.com/Islandora-Devops/isle-buildkit/issues/184 Revival of old ISLE interest group for the purpose of setting up releases, making sure the specific issues are weorked on and merged in a systematic way.
- We want to have representation and who would lead these sessions?
- Scheduling proposal: First Wednesday of the month after Tech Call, and as-needed to add the third week in as well - Willow to add to the community calendar.
- https://github.com/Islandora/islandora_defaults/pull/65 Ready to be tested.
- https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/pull/2051 Changes might need to be made to ISLE DC first, before Documentation is updated. Willow to ask if this needs to be tested. Does declaring this service initiate it?
- https://github.com/Islandora-Devops/isle-dc/pull/226 This PR adds an automated test, and prompting to alert people if they are using default passwords (which are available in github). Gives a warning when people are using insecure access. Some feedback Don is still looking into, making changes for compatibility across different machines.
- https://github.com/Islandora-Devops/isle-dc/pull/223 Moves all the docker compose files into a subdirectory to clean up the root directory. This will affect any dependencies on the path names so this needs to be checked.
- Kirsta's discussion to be moved to next week's meeting.
