Minutes

  1. Community survey:
    1. Please fill out the survey because this will determine the priorities and future development roadmap of Islandora.
    2. Feedback? Please let Danny or Melissa know.
  2. Islandora Online
    1. One is about migration, one about IR functionality (both are large sections on the survey, btw)
    2. Scheduling of IOs is staggered between convenient times for Europe/N. America.
    3. Danny gave Rosie a “very nice compliment” but she wasn’t here to hear it.
  3. Danny needs some help testing permissions on Github - someone was able to merge something that they shouldn’t have been able to merge.
    1. So everyone who is not a committer on Github has been given triage status. Let's test:
      1. Needs someone who is not a committer to make an edit on the islandora/islandora readme, make a new branch, to check that they can still do that.
      2. And need someone who is not a committer to try to do a pull request/merge - Bethany tested on the 8.x and was not able to merge
  4. Nice contribs that are nearly ready: Please test these and ignore the Travis errors for now.
    1. File versioning - this is actually media versioning but Eli will try to get a PR for files as well.
    2. Multi-file media - Works! Needs some coding standards fixes. Please take a look to check that it works on your install.
    3. Homarus - Jared’s not here to discuss so we’ll skip
    4. Mirador - This module gives us bare-bones Mirador config that is hard-coded in the module but can be expanded in the future.
  5. PRs to review/merge
    1. Tokens for linked-agent
    2. Adds authorization token to line that calls FFMpeg for private media
      1. But doesn’t pass permissions to derivatives, this is something we need to be careful of
    3. Skip link headers for non-canonicalizable entities
      1. Needs testing with multilingual/translations
      2. Adds behavior if there’s no URI rather than resulting in a whitescreen.
    4. OpenSeadragon from a CDN - saves time and lets us lock down a version of OSD and remove code and Ansible roles.
  6. Out of time for issue roundup.
