Major changes from 3.0:

  • New: Consolidate weapon cheevons.
  • New: Show margin of miss in damage floatie.
  • New: Fix squared called shot multiplier.
  • New: Fix weapon stats on game load (non-json-based).
  • New: Acted mechwarriors will have their names greyed out in mech tray.
  • Stability fixes.
  • Plus other minor feature enhancements.

Major changes from 2.5:

  • Press F1 to F4 to select player mech. Shift-Tab to reverse-select.
  • In multi-target, Shift+Click or Ctrl+Click weapon to reverse/toggle target.
  • Enhanced terrain dots. Terrain description is always displayed.
  • Nameplate text colour. Line of sight animation.
  • See enemy wounds (in names) and target skills (press callout, default left alt).
  • Use indirect fire when better than direct fire.
  • Colour weapon list with damage, alpha damage, and melee damage.
  • Apply damage reduction in weapon panel and show total damage.
  • Show weapon's stability damage with callout toggle (Left Alt).
  • Plus assorted enhancements, optional features, and bug fixes.

This beta build is for using new features early. Some issues are known but not game breaking.

Changes from last preview:

  • New: Press F1 to F4 to select player mech.
  • New: Shift+Tab or Shift+Click (multi-target) to select in reverse direction.
  • New: Ctrl+Click a weapon in multi-target to quickly enable/disable it.
  • New: Bigger and more terrain dots in stronger colours.
  • New: Set nameplate text colours.
  • New: Show wounds or health in mechwarrior names.
  • New: See target skills with callout toggle.
  • New: Line of sight colour (hue and brightness) animation.
  • New: Colour weapon and show damage in weapon loadout list.
  • New: Show melee and dfa damage in weapon loadout list.
  • New: Show short range and long range firepower above weapon loadout list.
  • New: Apply damage reduction in weapon panel, compatible with WeaponRealizer.
  • New: Show total weapon damage (before and after accuracy).

This pre-release build is for testing new features.

Changes from 2.5:

  • New: Use indirect fire when better than direct fire.
  • New: Show enemy wounds and ally health in mechwarrior names.
  • New: Set nameplate text colour.
  • New: Press F1 to F4 to select player mech.
  • New: Hold Alt to enable friendly fire (non-Multi-Target).
  • New: Show rare weapon properties and weapon range in meters in weapon mouseover.
  • New: Show short range in hit modifier breakdown.
  • Mod: ShortPilotHint now hides HP by default, to avoid line wrapping on elite mechwarriors.
  • Mod: ShowNumericInfo no longer shows pc movement points during enemy attacks.
  • Fix: FacingMarkerEnemyColors not applied when FacingMarkerPlayerColors is empty.
  • Fix: NPE when FacingMarkerPlayerColors is non-empty but FacingMarkerEnemyColors is empty.
  • Fix: FloatingArmorColours no longer applies to target panel.
  • Fix: Geothermal and Radiation Field are now factored in heat preview fix.
  • Fix: Range meters in hit modifier list no longer show decimal.
  • Fix: FixPaperDollRearStructure now works in campaign, without going through combat first.

Note: Some bugs were found in release "AttackImprovementMod.3.0-pre-20190925.zip" and the zip has been updated with bug fixes and stability enhancements. The zip includes updated sourcecode.

  • New: Show distance number in target panel, and movement point in selection panel.
  • New: Show pilot stats in one-line mouseover hint, instead of only HP.

This is a experimental pre-release build for testing new critical hit settings.

Changes from 2.2:

  • New: Critical hits now follows damage transfer.
  • New: Hits may optionally crit through armour.
  • New: Excludes intact structures from crits. (When through armour crit is disabled.)
  • Fix: Errors when writing attack log is now (try to be) logged by the mod log.
  • Fix: Attempt to fix see-through armour with Mech Engineer's composite structure.

2.2 is same as 2.1.1, but compatible with BATTLETECH 1.2 instead of 1.1.2.
Because of change in game code, it is not feasible to make one download to support both versions.
