(Under development)

Stratux comes with with GxAirCom integration that allows you to become FLARM-equipped. You will both be able to receive FLARM and send FLARM-compatible information.

You need to have a Stratux connected with one of the T-Beams supported by GXAirCom. Hoever we use a slightly modified version of GxAirCom and Stratux comes with a release of that.

If you are familiar with the OGN tracker you are familiar with the procedure as mentioned here OGN Tracker. The procedure to flash your T-Beam are mention on this page

Stratux Configuration.

There are two ways how to configure your GxAirCom together with stratux.

  • ICAO : Use this if your airplane is equipped with a mode-s transponder. In this case, the Tracker Address is the same as your mode-s address
  • FLARM : If you do not have mode-s transponder (rare but possible) then you can use the default value as found by Stratux

Example configuration for a plane with a Mode-s transponder:

Troubleshooting

We have seen a few cases where the GxAirCOm won't always boot up. To start trouble shooting you need to connect to GxAirCom over WiFi. See this page on how to do this, however do not use the version mentioned on that page.

Validate if gxAirCom is communicating:

For Stratux to configure the GxAirCom device it takes up to 2 minutes to correctly configure the device and validate it is working. In the end of the process you should be presented with this screen:

Validate Stratux version

Head over to the Info

Validate that:

  • It you have a stratux version: eu029 or newer
  • Validate you selected the t-beam you have

Validate GPS reception

Go to the info page and see if the T-Beam receives any satellites:

If you see satellites then your T-Beam version is correctly identified.

Still no GPS?

Sometimes when you have been playing around with your T-Beam, the GPS is in the wrong state. Resetting might help.

Ensure the output is set to Serial, then click on config GPS. When done, click 'Saving Config and Restart' at the bottom of the page
