IHM Meeting Summary Dec 13 2018
Attended by Ben Webb, Tom Goddard, and Brinda Vallat
-
Issue 76: The PDBx/mmCIF dictionary and each extension dictionary (e.g.: IHM-dictionary, FLR-dictionary) will be maintained separately and have their own version history. A consolidated dictionary for representing structures in PDB-Dev will be created and maintained separately (location to be determined). This consolidated dictionary will be assembled from different component dictionaries and will carry information regarding the names, locations and versions of individual dictionaries that were used to create the consolidated dictionary. In PDB-Dev data files,
audit_conform
will carry the name, location and version information of this consolidated dictionary. The DDL dictionary has been extended to describe the components of the assembled dictionary (
pdbx_dictionary_component
,pdbx_dictionary_component_history
,pdbx_include_dictionary
,pdbx_include_category
,pdbx_include_item
). Work is in progress to develop software that support the updated DDL. -
Issue 38: This issue is dependent on issue 76 because several data files in PDB-Dev will not be conformant to the updated representation of crosslinkers and will need to be remediated to include the details of chemical descriptors (SMILE strings, INCHI keys, etc.) of the crosslinking agents. In the meantime, it is important to include
audit_conform
information in exisiting data files, so that we can keep track of which dictionary version the data files are compliant with. -
As pointed out in the discussion on issue 3, internal audit records that identify the content specifications of the data file are required.

Next meeting is on Thursday, December 20th, at 9AM PT / 12PM ET / 6PM CEST.
