IHM Meeting Summary May 17, 2018

Attended by Ben Webb and Brinda Vallat

  1. Spindle pole body, Nup82 and updated NPC structures (with distance restraints to geometric objects) are under progress.

  2. IMP now uses the python-ihm package.

  3. We have the first example of an I/H model that uses a Rosetta fragment-assembly based starting model. A specific category can be created to describe the use of multiple templates, alignment file and modeling script file. On the other hand, we can consider renaming the ihm_starting_comparative_model category to something more generic (that can also handle fragment-assembly based models) and add a data item that provides a reference to the modeling script file.

  4. Other potential structures include FRET-based model (we are working on a FRET-dictionary) and 3D genome structures (may require extending some of the defintions).

  5. We have received several depositions on PDB-Dev in the past few weeks. BV will triage and find a way to process them.

  6. Next week's meeting is a "large" group IHM meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 24th at 7:00 AM PDT / 9:00 AM CDT / 10:00 AM EDT / 3:00 PM BST / 4:00 PM CEST / 11:00 PM JST. The connection details and meeting agenda will be sent by email.
