Notes

Welcome

Mr. Mertic introduced himself to the group, and welcomed all to the meeting.

Role of the PMC

Mr. Mertic gave a brief overview of the role of the PMC. Mr. Venkat asked some questions of the role of the ODPi TSC in the PMC, which Mr. Mertic and Mr. Gates added clarity on.

Review of Deliverables and Scope

Mr. Mertic reviewed the existing slides providing an overview of the full technology stack, as well as specifically the ODPi deliverables. Below were the questions from the group.

  • What is the role of ODPi in driving marketing content, and what services are available. Mr. Mertic indicated that those on the committee will largely be SMEs, but the ODPi staff and marketing committee will largely drive content creation. Mr. Mertic further indicated that staff can provide full content marketing, event, webinar, and outreach campaign support.
  • There was significant discussion on taking this and developing a deck to begin the conversation with potential ODPi and PMC members. Mr. Mertic took it as an action item for the first pass at this deck, and will work over email with the group.

Next steps

Mr. Mertic outlined next steps with the group:

  • PMC member recruitment
    • Within ODPi – message to odpi-techincal@ by Mr. Gates or Ms. Chessell
    • Outside ODPi – 4-5 outside data governance experts join the PMC ( customers highly suggested ). Members of the PMC should lead.
  • Elect chairperson
    • Propose to do via email; Mr. Mertic to follow up with email list setup and will have this as an initial topic.
  • Determine meeting cadence
    • Suggest weekly - next one schedule for Sept 22 at 9am ET.
