Notes from the ODPi Operations PMC 8/10 meeting

Attendees: Tim Thorpe, Roman Shaposhnick, Alan Gates, Sumit Mohanty, Yusaku Sako

  1. Discuss updates to the spec

We will have another hack-a-thon on the spec 9:30 - noon PDT Thursday August 11th. Tim will send invite.

  1. Versioning the documentation

We will create a wiki for Ambari 2.4 and copy all the relevant documents in. We can make it read only. From the operations spec for Ambari. Yusaku will try to do it in the next week or two.

  1. Separating the requirements

Will try to do this as we write the draft of the spec.

  1. Ambari getting included into the BigTop build

Roman will look into this.

  1. Test harness

When we have a draft version of the operations spec for Ambari, we can go over the test harness based on that. Will probably need to create a test service (Hello World) packaged as an extension management pack. We will need to figure out whether we will actually require installation. Will need to verify what we actually need with a test service. Will need to create JIRAs for all test harness work.

  1. Need a meeting August 17th?

Next meeting will be August 24th.
