Notes from the ODPi Operations PMC 7/6 meeting

Attendees: Tim Thorpe, Yusaku Sako, Roman Shaposhnik, Sumit Mohanty, Nate D'Amico, Alan Gates

1. Update on status of remaining Ambari issues

Tim is working on AMBARI-17465 - Management packs should be able to install extensions. Work should be delivered by the end of the week.

2. Determine remaining steps to getting Ambari into the reference build.

Roman says it is best if we just commit it. Roman will work on that later this week.

3. Hackathon status

Hack-a-thon is planned for Friday July 15th @9am PST.

Roman will send an email to decide on whether it makes more sense for Hortonworks or Pivotal to host it.

Roman will also send an email about the agenda.

4. Spec discussion (based on google doc comments)

It is agreed that we need to have an ambari versioned locked down wiki.

We will have a discussion on the spec comments during hack-a-thon.

Need to talk about the the following during the hack-a-thon:

Need to split the spec into what the distribution must do and what custom services need to do.

Need to decide on a stack delivery mechanism. Management packs, extensions, dump of services directly into stacks//.
