Description

Tyler edited this page Dec 15, 2023 · 9 revisions

The description is a summary of the game that serves as the first point of contact for a user when visiting a game page. Try to add an objective summary of the game's theme, genre, and special features.

⚠️ Game description is not the same as the storyline.

Please refrain from:

  • Adding a description in another language. It should be in US English.
  • Adding the stylized title in the description. It should follow the same title guidelines.
  • Making the description longer than 1-2 paragraphs.
  • Copy-pasting directly from Wikipedia, App stores, etc. and thus including the markdown script.
  • Adding text that includes release dates and developer information as those are redundant.
  • Adding description with game titles that includes ™ or ®.
  • Adding text in all caps (words & sentences).
  • Using bad language like swear words and sexually suggestive language.
  • Adding notes that say: (from Steam) or (from Source)
  • Adding multiple titles (like a Japanese title in kanji and romaji). Save that for the 'Alternative Titles' section instead!
  • Adding links to official sites, app stores or social media.
  • Adding any list of "features" or "requirements" (the exception being Editions and Mods)
  • Adding any call to action such as "play now" or "download today on PC"
