Q: Why don't you be normal and use boxing gloves if you want to fight?
A: Here at Fight Club, we know that people will desensitize themselves to their level of pain and annoyance. Boxing gloves and headgear gives people a cushion that allows them to be numb. Why didn't your head get out of the way? Maybe you don't feel that confident in yourself. Well, now you know. Did you really mean to hit your opponent with your fist? You don't know if you've got gloves on. Maybe you don't want to. Then you've got to get out of his way if he doesn't like you

Q: Is it right?
A: Senseless violence is never right. So, we, at Fight Club, discipline it. We're not here to pugilize each other or anyone else, really. Each fight is analyzed with how one failed and the fallen are given a chance to learn from the fight. We believe that one can become enlightened within one lifetime. And, also, that only through conflict is one's mind and body honed into perfection. Each fallen brother is taken aside and asked about what went wrong. Was it their psychology that made them fail? Are they too heavy, not limber enough, not paying attention? When your life's on the line, the inadequacies of one's training come through. So we probe, with the fist, or whatever, to see where they are. If a brother taps out, there's no shame -- he or his body is learning something. We teach fighters what they're missing. We're bros helping bros. Maybe you don't like his cheek bone there. OR the way your opponent looks at you. Or his nose is wrong. So you correct it.

Q: It's abusive!
A: Nothing is more abusive than the world-at-large. We channel this violence into making better men, like a sword is made sharp by hammering blows. No one is made more blunt by our work here. We don't let any one suffer without learning a lesson that's equally powerful. If a brother lands in jail, we're there when he picks up the phone. We give the help he needs in Court so he can ensure that Justice occurs. No brother has yet been abandoned.

Q: Why?
A: The world is messed up. It's not going to get better with niceties. Love doesn't work in every situation. There's a reason for the mind, awareness, and muscle. Sometimes a little tough love is needed. That's why there's Fight Club.
