Step #1
So, the first step is cleaning out your life. The enlightened warrior removes all of the inessentials, so he* can be fluid, awake, ready to pounce on that cubic centimeter of chance that the universe opens up regularly but you didn't notice because you were too focussed on all of that other crap. Perhaps you need to deal with a former relationship, get rid of that suburban house, your car, your wardrobe, that coffee habit, or maybe that ideology that hasn't fixed anything. People mistakenly think that they're gaining control by acquiring these things, but they're not at all. They are losing control, because while they may think they "own" them, they almost certainly own YOU. Did you make them? Do you know how to fix them when they break down? Did you know the facts yourself? If we were already in an enlightened society, getting total control of the unknowns in your world would get you somewhere, but now we need remediation plans.
By the end, if you can take everything you need with you at all times, while your two hands are free to interact with the world, you will have arrived at an exquisite point of independence called freedom. This is the point were you relate to the world in a new way. You are in the zone, capable of moving in-between the cracks of everyone's awareness because you have no obligations to anything or anyone else. You can casually board the bus, say, and sit among everyone and without knowing it, you are tuned into every corner of their consciousness. You know where danger lies, because it's always creating nervousness in yourself that you can sense and separate because you have acquired control. Or you can get in your VW van and enter traffic like a pro: handling every point of variability as if you're an Aikido master and, then, simply camp-out when night comes around. Whatever it is that keeps you free. If you don't have the money to have what you need to get free, then you get a job (or whatever) and do it. But remember, Earth is greater than whatever Man is doing, animals don't have money, and GOD (or whatever you call the Divine) gave you everything you need for free.
But what will you do with your new-found freedom? It's no challenge just to "fit in" and be available at all times to a diseased mass of humanity. But we don't have 50 years of luxury for you to fix things at that time scale, while you live off the fat of everyone's excess. But you also don't want rush into your enemy like a barbarian. You have arrived, but there's no where to go. Don't get trapped at this false peak. You're still shedding your old self.
No, you have to go looking for some trouble, what don Juan (cf. Carlos Casteneda) calls the petty tyrant. The perfect petty tyrant has all the time on their hands, too, and unlimited initiative. It seems hard to find such a beast. Your boss at work? Hardly unlimited. The petty tyrant takes you out of the nice little comfort zone you've carved for yourself. You've probably been avoiding him your whole life, or already been wrung out to dry trying to fight him: the Law.
Step #2: Discipline

(*) Perhaps you already show your weakness: by feeling a victim of my masculine word. But yet you know I used the feminine on the previous page. You forgot that part.
